How to make healthy Jam and Icing (vegan)

Often it’s hard to come across vegan and organic options for our tasty treats, especially to have them taste good! Well, now that we’re spending some time at home it’s time to go on some cooking adventures by making healthy tasty treats at home. Cakes, cupcakes, muffins and more are on the way. But let’s talk about what we put inside the cakes and on top of them: JAM and ICING! All ingredients are Organic and Natural (of course).

JAM ingredients

  • 16 OZ Strawberry/Blackberries Organic
  • Vitamix/Blender
  • Cane Sugar Organic
  • Salt Organic
  • Vanilla Extract Organic

what to do

1. Take all strawberries and chop off green bits and add all blackberries together and wash them with Fruit and Veggie Rinse (contact me for info).
2. Put in Vitamix/Blender (on 10) until blended.
3. Add four table spoons of cane sugar
4. Add a pinch of salt 
5. Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract 

ICINGingredients

  • Avocado butter (avocado oil base)
  • 16 OZ pack powdered confectioners organic sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Salt
  • Lemon
  • Handheld power mixer

what to do

  1. Stick of avocado butter (avocado oil base) 
  2. One entire pack of powdered confectioners organic sugar  – 16 OZ 
  3. Teaspoon of vanilla 
  4. Pinch of salt 
  5. Teaspoon lemon 
  6. 2 OZ of water 
    Blend with handheld powered mixer to fluff (or whisk) 

C O L O R I N G (for icing)

  • Small Strainer
  • Blackberries/Blueberries/Strawberries (depending on color choice)

what to do

  1. Take blackberries, put them all alone in Vitamix/Blender,
  2. strain them with a strainer and squeezed out the liquid until about a table spoon remains.
  3. Add to the ICING and it will become a pink color.
