My mum taught me about the lymph when I was younger, and even to this day. I have realized with her help that the lymph system is immensely important. Now I’m finding connections between HS, EDS, systemic conditions, cellular mutation, and more… with lymphatics. Some bodies will try to expel the toxins through abscesses and some bodies will turn the toxins into mutation. We have to focus on the lymph system.
Lymph Drainage Tips:
- Castor Oil – Apply to lymph node areas frequently. Castor oil pack apply to swollen areas, cover with a cloth, and use a warm compress for 30–60 minutes. Can be used overnight. Make sure castor oil is organic and hexane free. Visit shop.aliveandshine.com for high quality organic castor oil.
- Movement – Walk, stretch, or do light bouncing to keep lymph fluid flowing. Asanas can also help create gentle movement.
- Hydration – Drink plenty of water to flush toxins. Rule is: half your body weight in ounces. Make sure to hydrate by adding a little lemon or something to your drink. Cleanse by having plain water.
- Deep Breathing – Belly breathing helps pump lymph fluid. Deep inhalation for 4 seconds, hold for 4, and exhale for 8.
- Gentle Massage – Lightly press around lymph nodes (neck, armpits, groin). See chart.
- Legs Up – Elevate legs for 10–15 minutes to improve drainage.
- Supplements:
• Red clover, cleavers, artemisinin, black walnut, and anti-pathogen protocol – Support detox.
• Bromelain, turmeric, ginger – Reduce inflammation. - Anti-Inflammatory Diet:
• Eat whole foods, leafy greens, berries, turmeric, ginger, garlic.
